Regional Skilled Sponsored Migration (Subclass 475) visa is a three (3) years provisional visa for skilled workers who are unable to meet the criteria for a Skilled Independent Migration visa. The applicant will have the opportunity to apply for permanent residency after living for two (2) years and worked at least 12 months in a Specified Regional Area of Australia. If you can't pass General Skilled Independent Points test (120 Points) but you have an eligible relative living in a designated area of Australia who can sponsor you or nominated by a participating State or Territory government agency, then you can apply for Regional Skilled Sponsored Migration (subclass 475) visa.

This visa allows you to remain in Australia for up to three (3) years and requires you to live and work in a Specified Regional Area in Australia You can apply for a permanent visa after you have lived for two (2) years in a Specified Regional Area and worked, including being self-employed, for one (1) year in these same areas.

Regional Skilled Sponsored Migration Visa is a Points Based Migration Visa. Currently Pass mark for this visa is 100 Points. These Points are calculated against your Age, English language ability, nominated Skilled Occupation, Work Experience, Partner Skills and Other categories.

Basic Requirements for Regional Skilled Sponsored Migration (Subclass 475)
Sponsorship/ Nomination: Must be sponsored by an eligible relative living in a designated area of Australia or must obtain nomination from a participating State or Territory government agency in Australia
Age: Must be between 18 and 45 years
English Language Ability: Must be Competent English or Vocational English (if nominated Occupation is Tradepersons)
Skill Assessment: Must nominate an Occupation from Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and must obtain a positive skills assessment from the appropriate Skill Assessing Authority
Work Experience: Must be employed in an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) for twelve (12) months of the last twenty four (24) months immediately. or have met the two (2) years study in Australia requirement in the last six (6) months.
Others You can have have extra points if you have been employed for three (3) of the last four (4) years in an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL). If your Nominated Occupation is in Demand you can have some extra points as well.
